Education

ICE is all about Communicating Science, which means that since its founding in 1983 education has been a paramount objective. This commitment to education is directed to both students and teachers, and it is manifest through research experiences, teacher professional development, service learning opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students, online learning tutorials, and adapting technology for students with physical and learning disabilities.

In addition to the structured educational venues described here, education is a part of everything we do. Hence there are strong educational components of our Outreach efforts, our Research projects, and our work to make recent developments in Nanoscience accessible to students and teachers. Of course our Kits and Publications are evidence of finished products that have resulted from our efforts.
